Cabella's

Aleia and I randomly decided to check out Cabella's today. Never been there before, but I've heard they have lots of animals. Usually anything with animals is a hit for Aleia, and it's been a bit rainy today. So indoors was good! We actually had a lot of fun there!

Princesses and Horses

Aleia has been very into princesses (since Disneyland) and horses. This is a picture of the four of them together! And some real horses she's gotten to ride at Thanksgiving Point. If you ever wanted to know, Aleia got to ride on the BIG horse! She'll be happy to tell you- over and over and over...

Fun with Alyssa

It is so nice to have friends! Aleia has gotten to play with Alyssa a few times this past month. They have a lot of fun together. Here are some photos of the fun!

Picnic up the Canyon

Friday was so beautiful we decided to enjoy it up the canyon with a picnic dinner. We loved just being out and enjoying our surroundings. After bagel sandwiches, we played at the playground, took a walk and even checked out the river. It is so great to have Matt out of school!

Curious

You know, Jenny asked me one day if I've ever straightened Aleia's hair. Curious question. no... I can't say I have! So I thought we would give it a shot today. Not so bad! We also gave her a much needed trim. (not the best job, but hopefully you won't be able to tell when it's curly anyways) :o)

Washa washa washa

We finaly had some warmer weather a few days back. So we took full advantage of it. Aleia loved playing in the water and helping dad wash the car.

Happy Birthday Dixie!

Well, another birthday has come and gone. Hard to believe I'm a quarter of a century old now! It was a fun birthday. My mom let me splurge and get my hair done, and we had a yummy dinner with the family at Tepanyaki. Jenny got me some stylin' sunglasses, and I got a hot red blender to make yummy smoothies all summer! (It is REALLY nice). Thanks everyone for the e-mails and Birthday Greetings. I really felt loved on my 'happy party day' (as Aleia calls it).

I figured out a faster way to get all our California pictures on the Blog. Two or three at a time was taking forever! (Thanks Jamie for the idea!) So, here is our cool slideshow of our disneyland trip. Hope you enjoy it! We sure did!

Sea World

Another of my favorite adventures at Sea world was the sky tram. Quoting Aleia, "We went in the bucket in the sky!" Very cool.

Sea World

Sea world was the first attraction. Sadly, I only got pictures of the dog show. I was too mesmerized by the dolphin/seal/whale shows to pull out my camara. Whoops. But this was definitely a highlight for Aleia, who can't seem to get enough of doggies and kittys.

California!!!

Yahoo!!! Finally it's vacation time! My family all went to Newport Beach, California for an incredible week of lots of play. We played so hard we slept all day when we got home to recoup! First we checked out the beach.

Matt's got his Masters!

Well, Matt finally did it! He got is masters degree from the BYU Marriot School of Business. Yahoo! I am so proud of him. He was also the sole provider for our family, diligent with his callings, and great at making time for his family too. It was a long hard few years, but it was worth the sacrifice. I am so proud of him for enduring this long, and not burning out at the end. GO MATT!
